The System Support Analyst is responsible for laboratory analytic measurement of workflow across multiple business units, platforms and systems. These include but are not limited to outreach information, laboratory information, CRM, revenue cycle, financial, inventory/supply management, and analytic reporting systems. Further the System Support Analyst applies analytic measurement principles for all approved inflight IT projects. IT project types include (but are not limited to) integration, enterprise analytics, engineered applications, and infrastructure. The System Support Analyst is additionally responsible for demonstrating a strong knowledge of the laboratory logical and physical data models and schema across the laboratory enterprise. Finally, the System Support Analyst is expected to be knowledgeable of all laboratory standard reporting and measurement metrics.
Identifies and documents IT opportunities for any analytic gaps.

Work with clients to re-engineer workflow processes in preparation for new systems, as appropriate.

Serves as an active member of the IT team participating, as appropriate, in all levels of computer needs assessment, strategic planning, priority setting, resource utilization, and implementation.
Pro-actively seeks to improve IT functions to better serve the IT internal and external customers.
Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
Establishes and maintains a network of resources to increase knowledge of workflow and enterprise analytic best practices.
Keeps informed of trends and developments in the field of technology and laboratory science and maintains a high level of functional expertise.
Appropriately keeps clients, peers, subordinates, and management informed on workflow and analytic projects, developments and issues including the providing of periodic status reports.
Works closely with Project Manager to provide input and guidance for workflow and analytic tasks associated with all inflight IT projects.
Maintains workflow maps for ALL documented Progenity workflows and creates workflow maps where none exist (as key deliverable of any inflight IT project).
Maintains IT facilities and equipment in a condition that promotes efficiency and safety assists CIO in complying with all PROGENITY policies and procedures.
Demonstrates a proficiency in HL7, scripting languages, database/SQL languages and other tools to facilitate the rapid retrieval/integration of information from internal and external LSI databases into the PROGENITY enterprise data warehouse.
Serves as technical resource with other IT team members to design and development of one-time and/or on-going data extraction, database access, and system interfaces across multiple data sources using SQL tools, interface and programming techniques to support workflow and analytic initiatives.
Creates or assists in the design and implementation of user training.
Trains and monitors employees who have been granted access to database, interface, and similar information access tools.
Evaluates computer system impact on an on-going basis, and routinely reports findings to management.
Prepares all required operating procedures and documentation in coordination with Production/Operations and ensures a smooth transition to normal operations as projects are implemented.
Evaluates and recommends software tools and standards to improve workflow productivity.
Assists in establishing and enforcing security levels and access authorities to information.
Assists in compiling and maintaining data dictionary elements to reduce redundancy, improve information access, and assist in system integration activities.
Acts as a liaison with hardware and software vendors to resolve problems with workflow and analytic related system issues.

Bachelor of Science (or equivalent experience) is required along with thorough knowledge of workflow and analytics standards and practices.
2 or more years’ experience in laboratory workflow and analytics design.
Well organized with the proven ability to work effectively within a team concept.
Demonstrable skills in project organization. Successful project management experience on projects involving highly complex workflow and analytics implementations.
Knowledge of and experience with laboratory Information Systems, laboratory processes, project planning and management tools, information access tools, multiple PC products, interface engines, HL-7 and other interface standards, and process re-engineering methodology and tools.
Ability to learn new technologies and evaluate applicability and fit to JMH requirements.
