Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience using program/project management tools and systems.
2 years of experience using scripting language to automate processes.

Preferred qualifications:

3 years of experience managing software development projects and working with partners.
Ability to engage, communicate, and present to executive leadership.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and presentation skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You’re equally at home explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.
As a Fitbit Device Software Technical Program Manager, you’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, user experience, and other cross-functional partners to get high-quality products built, tested, and released on time. You will be responsible for identifying and managing risks, making sound judgments about product and technology plans and quality.

Lead a cross-functional teams to execute multiple interdependent projects and programs.
Drive product development processes with the cross-functional teams to hit roadmap goals, track progress, analyze risks and communicate status.
Develop and manage program schedules, technical challenges, and resource needs with engineering and cross-functional teams.
Communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
Proactively implement process improvements to streamline product development.
