Position Summary:

Responsible for performing semi-skilled or skilled tasks in the repair of streets, alleys, creeks and channels.

Taget Hiring Range: $14.21/hr – $17.10/hr

Essential

Job Functions:

1) Operate 6 yard dump truck.
2) Transport materials between job sites.
3) Service and maintain vehicle.
4) Patch streets and alleys with hot mix.
5) Set steel on concrete paving projects.
6) Crack seal streets and alleys.
7) Clean inlets.
8) Clean around job site

Minimum Education& Work Experience :

High School Diploma or equivalent

No experience necessary

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Skills:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of, experience or training in construction and maintenance of streets and underground drainage systems

Knowledge of safety practices and hazards standard to work area

Skill to operate various equipment and machinery

Ability tounderstand and implement verbal and written instructions

Ability toperform physical labor

Ability tocomprehend written and oral work assignments and perform work as assigned

Licenses &

Certifications:

Valid Class C Texas driver’s license
